You can’t make things happen from behind your desk. The value of face-to-face meetings and networking cannot be underestimated, especially in the middle of a recession. A lot of small business owners I know are facing bleak times, making it all the more important for them to get in front of people and make connections.
Now is the time to be planting seeds. You can’t reap what you haven’t sown. Get in people’s faces. Make time to make the networking rounds. Scroll through your contacts and schedule coffee with as many people as you can.
